An OT Driving Assessment generally includes an assessment of the physical, cognitive, visual and functional abilities required for safe driving.

Where appropriate, this is followed by an on-road assessment conducted with a rehabilitation-trained driving instructor in a dual-control vehicle.

The assessment may also consider your current vehicle, driving difficulties, recommended restrictions, adaptive equipment and any vehicle modifications that may support safe driving.

Not everyone is ready to return to driving immediately following an injury or traumatic event.

Our team can develop an individualised rehabilitation pathway based on your needs.

Depending on your circumstances, this may include psychological rehabilitation, driving-specific CBT, VR-based exposure, graded driving exposure and practical driving rehabilitation with an Occupational Therapist and rehabilitation-trained driving instructor.

The program is progressed gradually according to your confidence, functional capacity and safety.

No. We provide mobile services across most of the Sydney metropolitan area and can come to you.

Depending on the type of assessment or rehabilitation program, services may be provided at your home, workplace, in the community or at an appropriate driving location.

This allows us to assess your abilities in environments that are relevant to your everyday driving and rehabilitation goals.
